Minors
The Department of English and Comparative Literature offers an array of minors that provide opportunities for students from all majors to pursue interests they may have, discover new interests, and develop knowledge and skills that would be academically, professionally, and personally enriching. In addition to general minors in English and Comparative Literature, specialized minors are available in Children’s Literature, Creative Editing & Publishing, and Creative Writing. The English Minor provides students the freedom to explore an array of literary types and topics. This minor is perfect for students who harbor an interest in literary study or are looking to sharpen their critical reading, writing, and thinking skills.

A combination of coursework and internships allows students in a wide variety of fields to develop their skills in creative content development and gain useful experience.
