This Museum is the first and only composer museum in London. It is where George Frideric Handel lived for 36 years and where he died in 1759. The house has been restored and features refurbished interiors, manuscripts, fine and decorative arts and live music.
The internship students will be able to work in a number of capacities including:

This internship is with a major London radio station mixing pop music from the seventies to the present day with current affairs and topical chat.
Intern student will be part of a small, very friendly working team assisting with everything from research to talking live on air! Other tasks will include researching events and articles for radio programmes, booking guests for studio interviews, marketing assisting and with press department.
Opportunities to also available to work in Sales & Marketing Department.

Working at the Natural History Museum on the Banks Archive Project, an ongoing project researching the life of Sir Joseph Banks through transcribing original documents, the findings are being published.

A LEA County Primary School for 3 — 11 year olds based in Kensington, this Internship would be a great way to experience the English education system.
The Internship student will work as the Teachers Assistant in the age group of their choice working with the teacher in the following areas and much more:

Jack Tizard is a day school for pupils aged 2-19 years with a range of severe learning difficulties (SLD) including profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). The school serves the community of Hammersmith and Fulham and accepts pupils from a range of other boroughs. Pupils attending Jack Tizard School both have a statement of special educational needs, and receive annual reviews, or they attend on an assessment placement. The school population consists of pupils from a range of social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
The Internship student will work as a classroom assistant supporting the teachers in the following positions and much more.

Intern at one of London Underground’s infrastructure companies. It supports the Bakerloo, Central, Victoria and Waterloo and City lines.
Working as a Compliance Inspector the student will have the opportunity to shadow engineers both on site, and in the office assisting with:

Fashion/design merchandising
A high profile small designer/fashion label in London, where all business from marketing, distribution and cutting takes place.
Internship students are able to observe and experience all aspects of the day-to-day running of a fashion company and assist in different areas of the company. Intern must have some experience or course work in fashion design.

The London Film Commission provides comprehensive advice and information about filming in London for all types of filming; music videos, commercials, feature films, television, corporate filming as well as photography. The LFC liaise with private and public companies in London to ensure filming can take place. They offer a range of services to meet filmmakers’ needs in London, including locations, facilities, crew and location managers.
Internship Student will assist with researching information on international film commissions, working in the Locations library using the LFC’s data store, visiting locations with locations managers,

It runs film courses covering such subjects as writing, directing, producing & shooting, as well as hosting and organizing the UK’s only independent film festival. In addition, they also publish periodical magazines and journals. Students will have the opportunity to get involved with all aspects of this company’s business, from mail-shots to screenings.

All transactions at the LSE are done electronically making it unique compared to other stock exchanges. Finance and economic interns have the opportunity to work in numerous departments.

Students interning at this internet company have the opportunity of learning in several departments, Sales/Marketing/Client services and international operations. They are exposed to numerous technical programs and search engines on the web. They research, review statistics, work on major accounts making sure the clients get what they pay for. The students get involved in consumer relations. Reports need to be created on clients accounts found on the inventory system.

Interns are exposed to all areas of the arranging of companies and private individuals moving from one country to another. Interns have interacted with clients and colleagues from all over the world. Intern will be involved in a multicultural environment, hearing numerous languages spoken all the time. Students are involved in administrative tasks, invoicing, researching and follow up, making sure everything is covered before a move takes place.

International business publication, opportunity to experience first hand, how a magazine is put together, based in the London office, but working and collaborating with the New York office. Duties include research on companies and competitors of Forbes Global.

Law
Working in this legal company specializing in many aspects of law, there are many opportunities to work in an administrative capacity.

Specializing in accidental claims, criminal law, family law, employment law and housing law, this large solicitor’s office works with businesses and individuals. Interns work in a para-legal capacity in the criminal department attending court, keeping minutes of all court proceedings. Interns attend meetings at police stations and barristers chambers, accompany solicitors to court so eventually the intern can attend court unattended and clerk cases, take notes and be present with clients at court.

Working for this brand engagement company with brand communications and strategies, students assist team members with research, preparing pitches, presentations and administrative duties. Interns also help with organizing staff events, outings, presentations and arranging guest speakers

Working on an adoption research project at this famous center, a former intern had the opportunity to attend diagnostic meetings, transcribe interviews with children and families, learn to code questionnaires and videos of interactions and put together a newsletter.

Public Policy
Refugee Council works with Refugees and Asylum seekers providing help and support and in addition addresses their needs and concerns.
Internship duties include working in the drop-in centers in London, as well as assisting with and shadowing Refugee Council employees.

Theater
Internships at the Globe vary from department to department. Students have had the opportunity to intern in the Press/media relations department having exposure to celebrities, press writings, editing etc., Front of House, students interested in tourism, education and theatre. The Globe support an Adopt an Actor scheme, this internship would suit a student interested in writing and education. Students interested in event planning, drama and organizing workshops work along side the HR department and become very involved in the regular daily books. All of the students who have interned at the Globe have had an unforgettable experience.

This children’s theatre works with local children in the community and with special needs children putting on productions and holding educational workshops. Interns have assisted in the wardrobe department, assisting with making and designing costumes, sitting in on design meetings and buying materials. This hands on placement is has proved to be a very rewarding and enjoyable experience.
