EVENT SPRING 2002
Saturday, April 27th is
Dia de los Ninos in Mexico, and Cafe Literati is going to celebrate it
in Tecate with our friends from Rancho San Juan Bosco. I contacted
Mr. Morelos, the director of the vocational home, and while a Mexican family
is bringing hot-dogs and yummy pasteles to the celebration, we are responsible
to provide salads and fruits. Aren't we glad to be on the healthy
side for once?! Our group will live San Diego around 8:30am and hopefully
return for 6pm (no time guarantee on the border crossing). This excursion
will be a nice opportunity to see SDSU's previous work at this site, and
above all it will be great fun. WANT TO HELP???? CONTACT ME ASAP

Spring Break
UPDATE
Welcome back!
I hope you enjoyed yourself and are
ready for the post SB rush that is about to hit us all. I just wanted to
let you know that one of our members will talk about the influences of
"The Catcher in the Rye" on modern culture @ our next meeting Wednesday
April 10, 2002 at 1pm on the Patio of Adams Humanities closest to the Classics
and Humanities offices. So, if you know some folks who are interested!
Before the end of the semester I want
to gather a group of us to go plant a vegetable garden for our friends
down in Rancho San Juan Bosco, Tecate. I'm still working on the date,
but it is most likely going to be for the end of April (either 3rd or 4th
week end). I will let you know the exact details asap.
The club will show "Cube"
by the Canadian producer Vincenzo Natali on Thursday, April 18th in AH
4157 @ 7pm. "Cube" is a SciFi film that came out in 1997. Its
subject? What happens when strangers awake and are stuck in a maze?
They better put their brains together and see about getting out, but that's
only a suggestion.
The members of CAFE
LITERATI invite you to
